Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and confident Cook to join our new restaurant in Shiashie. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing European dishes and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of European dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in a timely manner.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including checking freshness of ingredients and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Assist in menu planning and specials as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Confident in preparing European dishes.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English.
