Job Summary:
The Driver / Logistics Assistant is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of staff, gold samples, and materials. This role ensures the maintenance of company vehicles and provides logistical support to the field teams, ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Safely drive company vehicles to transport staff, clients, and gold samples to various locations across the country.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks (oil, water, tires) and ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working order.
- Logistics Support: Assist the Procurement and Admin teams with the loading, unloading, and delivery of items.
- Security: Ensure the security of the vehicle and any goods being transported.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logbooks for vehicle usage, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Support: Assist with office errands and general operational tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Ghanaian Driver’s License (minimum Class B or C).
- Proven driving experience (minimum 3 years) with a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics (ability to diagnose minor faults).
- Ability to read maps and navigate routes effectively.
- Physically fit and willing to travel to remote areas.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- A defensive driving certificate is an advantage.
