Job Description
- The Engineering/Technician role will involve supporting the hospital’s technical infrastructure: equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring operational uptime of building systems and medical equipment.
- The role will require liaising with the biomedical/engineering department to maintain equipment life-cycle, perform inspections, follow manufacturer guidelines, and maintain documentation of equipment status.
- The technician will assist in troubleshooting faults, coordinating with vendors and internal staff, and implementing engineering solutions that contribute to the delivery of a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
- The role includes maintaining records, inventories (of equipment and spares), participating in preventive maintenance schedules, and possibly assisting with procurement or technical appraisal for new modalities.
- The position is under the support services/engineering department whose mission includes maintaining critical and non-critical equipment support systems for the hospital.
