Job Description:
- Study and understand spiral pipe manufacturing and submerged arc welding processes (including tandem welding) and troubleshoot welding problems.
- Study plasma arc cutting system, learn its operations and troubleshooting.
- Learn gas cutting and manual electric arc welding techniques and good practices.
- Understand machine forming calculations (e.g., SP machine forming, adjustment data) and causes/effects of pipe profile defects.
- Work out raw material requirements, machine hours, wastage calculations etc. Prepare departmental daily/monthly reports.
- Study operations of end facing and hydro testing machines, their adjustments, and trouble‐shooting.
- Learn and apply industry standards (e.g., API-5L, DIN 30670) for pipe manufacturing and coating.
- Use ERP manufacturing/quality modules (e.g., raw material planning, inventory, supply-chain) and contribute to purchase requisition processes.
