Job Description
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for supervising waste collection crews, monitoring daily collection routes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and resolving operational challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with management to improve productivity, maintain service quality, and ensure that field staff perform their duties effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, assign, and monitor daily waste collection routes and crew schedules.
* Supervise compactor drivers and waste collection teams during field operations.
* Conduct spot checks at collection points to ensure service quality and completeness.
* Ensure field staff comply with health, safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
* Identify and resolve operational challenges and customer complaints in the field.
* Prepare weekly operational reports for the Operations Manager and Directors.
* Liaise with management on customer concerns and Municipal Assembly matters.
* Support the onboarding, training, and performance monitoring of field staff.
* Monitor team productivity and recommend improvements to operational processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Diploma or HND in Logistics, Environmental Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
* A degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
* Three to five years of experience in field operations, logistics, or waste management supervision.
* A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in Ghana.
