Role Overview
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring sound financial management, strategic planning, and compliance with regulatory and internal control standards. The role provides financial insights to drive business decisions, manage budgets, optimize costs, and ensure the financial health and sustainability of the company.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, advising management on risks and opportunities.
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure tax planning, statutory compliance, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operations.
• Lead audit processes (internal and external) and strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Drive cost optimization, revenue assurance, and capital investment analysis (ROI).
• Supervise daily accounting operations, including reconciliations, payroll, and financial records.
• Lead and develop the finance team, improving systems, processes, and financial reporting tools.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) is required.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in finance, accounting, or audit, with at least 3 years in the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting standards.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books, or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
