Job Summary (The Opportunity)
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Officer to support workforce capability within the Organizational Capability Department. This role is critical to ensuring HR compliance, strengthening governance frameworks, managing workforce risks, and promoting ethical employment practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance of HR practices with labour laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Conduct regular HR compliance reviews and follow up on corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain compliance tracking, reporting systems, and escalation processes
  • Identify, assess, and escalate HR and contractual risks proactively
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Human Rights Policy
  • Promote a speak-up culture and ensure effective grievance handling processes
  • Conduct site visits to strengthen compliance awareness and early issue identification
  • Oversee background checks, reference verification, and due diligence processes
  • Prepare dashboards and reports on compliance, audits, and KPIs
  • Support performance management compliance (KPIs, appraisals, documentation)
  • Provide training and guidance on HR compliance and best practices
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting
  • Perform additional duties as required to support organizational objectives

Qualifications & Experience

Job Search Platform

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, preferably within the mining or industrial sector
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR policies, and statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience in grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations
  • Proven ability to identify and manage HR compliance risks effectively
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience preparing compliance reports and dashboards
