Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Human Capital Manager to lead the Human Capital function at our Liberia subsidiary. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive human capital strategy that builds a high-performing, skilled, and motivated workforce to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic business partner who can align people strategies with business objectives while championing Jospong Group's values and culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Human Capital Management

  • Develop and implement the subsidiary's Human Capital strategy aligned with Jospong Group's vision and JIB's business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational development, change management, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on all people-related matters to the Managing Director and leadership team.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead workforce planning to ensure the subsidiary has the right talent, in the right roles, at the right time.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and selection to onboarding and induction.
  • Drive localization initiatives by developing and implementing strategies to recruit, retain, and develop local talent.

Employee Relations & Reward Management

  • Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Oversee reward and compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with Group policies.
  • Implement performance management systems that drive accountability, engagement, and high performance.

HR Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with Liberian labour laws, regulations, and Jospong Group HR policies.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems that support operational efficiency.
  • Manage HR risk, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and dispute resolution.

Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Champion Jospong Group's values and foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and productivity.
  • Lead succession planning and talent development programs to build a robust leadership pipeline.

Data-Driven People Decisions

  • Leverage HR data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and measure HR effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present regular HR reports and dashboards to senior management and Group leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in HR, MBA, or related field is highly desirable.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, HRCI) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years' progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a multinational or conglomerate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, reward management, and organizational development.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in West Africa, particularly Liberia.
  • Experience in driving localization and diversity initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and HR analytics tools.
