Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) is state-owned company in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil. We are inviting talented, innovative, passionate and suitably qualified persons to apply for the following roles. 

Job Purpose

To lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of Company-wide events management and business support services, ensuring that services are cost-effective, delivered to a consistently high standard and provided in accordance with Company policies and procedures, brand standards and statutory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements the Company’s annual events calendar, business support services plan and associated budgets, aligned to the Company’s strategic objectives and Corporate Communications priorities.
  • Leads the end-to-end planning, delivery and evaluation of internal and external events, including conferences, media launches, town halls, workshops, stakeholder engagements and Company-sponsored events, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the required standard.
  • Provides oversight of Company-wide business support services, including hospitality, office custodial services, recreational facilities and the procurement, inventory and distribution of Heritage branded materials/tokens, ensuring that agreed service levels are consistently achieved.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, service level agreements (SLAs) and standards for events management and business support services.
  • Directs the procurement of events, hospitality and branded material goods and services, including the definition of scopes of work, the preparation and evaluation of ITBs/Requests for Quotation and contract award recommendations, in accordance with the Company’s procurement policies.
  • Manages the performance of contractors and service providers through structured contract management, performance reviews and KPIs, ensuring adherence to contractual, quality and HSE standards, and drives corrective action where required.
  • Serves as custodian of the Heritage brand at events and sponsored activities, ensuring the consistent application of brand standards and the effective coordination of Heritage branding with Corporate Communications and sponsorship partners.
  • Oversees the management of the Heritage Recreation Properties Booking System and the Company’s recreational facilities, ensuring that bookings are administered in accordance with applicable policies and that audits and inspections are conducted in conjunction with F&PM and findings are closed out.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with Business Units, Government agencies, community stakeholders, suppliers and industry partners to facilitate the Company’s events and stakeholder engagement objectives, and leads site visits and meetings with external stakeholders.

Job Specifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Communications or a related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree and a professional certification in Events Management or Project Management (e.g. CMP, PMP) would be an asset

 

Minimum Experience

  • A minimum of ten (10) years relevant working experience in events management, hospitality and/or business support services, of which at least five (5) years must be at a supervisory or management level.
