The Senior Training Coordinator will establish a structured, auditable and performance driven training systems and competency-development programmes, identify workforce capability gaps, workforce development, succession planning, oversee assessments, maintain accurate training records, evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions carried out, supports operational excellence, safety productivity and the Company’s long-term business strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Be compliant with site and corporate safety and environmental controls and regulations.
• Coordinate the delivery of approved training needs and prioritise programmes based on operational requirements, competency gaps, risk, statutory requirements, new technology and business priorities. 
• Develop, coordinate and maintain the Mine-wide annual and periodic Training Plans and training calendar in consultation with Department Heads and operational leadership. 
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations. 
• Monitor training compliance, competency assessments, refresher training, recertification and statutory certification requirements, and escalate significant gaps as appropriate.
• Support the preparation and administration of annual training budgets and ensure approved training activities are delivered within budget. 
• Support talent management and employee career development initiatives, including career interviews and development planning.
• Take responsibility for ensuring safety and environmental standards are adhered to.

About You
To succeed in this role, our ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree or master’s in Human Resource Management, Education, Industrial Psychology, or related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ relevant experience in learning and development, training coordination, competency development, or a related field. 
• Experience in the mining industry or a similar operational environment will be an advantage.
• A professional certification in Human Resources, Training and Development, such as CIPD, SPHRi, or similar, will be an advantage.
• Workplace Trainer and Assessor Certification.
• Any relevant certification from the Minerals Commission.
• A valid Ghanaian driving license and demonstrated ability to drive a light vehicle.
• Thorough knowledge of learning and development systems, competency-based training and assessment practices in a mining or similar industry.
