Job Summary:
We are seeking physically strong and hardworking Iron Rod Helpers to assist in the cutting, bending, and fixing of iron rods and steel reinforcements for concrete structures within the factory premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cutting, bending, and tying iron rods (rebar) according to structural drawings.
- Load and unload iron rods and steel materials to and from work sites.
- Prepare reinforcement bars and position them securely in foundations, columns, and slabs.
- Assist skilled ironworkers/steel fixers in assembling steel cages and frameworks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are safely stored.
- Follow strict safety protocols when handling heavy steel materials.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SHS certificate (SHS Graduate).
- Valid Ghana Card (mandatory).
- Prior experience as a construction helper or iron rod worker is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor and lift heavy materials.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Able to take directions and work well within a team.
- Must reside in or around Tema (Comm 25 area).
