About the Company
Yellow Power Ghana Limited is seeking an experienced and qualified Maintenance Manager to lead its mobile equipment maintenance division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the reliability, availability and cost-effective maintenance of a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment while ensuring operational excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
* Fleet Management: Oversee all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, component change-outs and major overhauls.
* Budget and Cost Control: Manage annual operating and capital budgets while controlling maintenance costs.
* Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Ghana’s Occupational Health and Safety and Mining Regulations.
* Team Management: Lead, mentor and develop engineers, supervisors and artisans.
* Inventory and Supply Chain: Monitor spare parts availability and inventory levels to minimize equipment downtime.
* Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or maintenance engineering.
* A master’s degree is an added advantage.
Certification:
* Must possess a valid Engineering Manager’s Certificate of Competency from the Minerals Commission of Ghana.
Experience:
* 10–12 years of experience in engineering maintenance.
* At least 5–7 years in a senior management position.
Technical Skills:
* Extensive experience with surface mobile mining equipment, including trucks, excavators, loaders and drills.
* Knowledge of maintenance systems and processes.
* Experience with Maintenance and Repair Contracts is an added advantage.
Soft Skills:
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent financial and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
