Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate oxyfuel equipment for both cutting thick steel and brazing/welding applications.
- Adjust oxygen and acetylene pressures for the desired flame characteristics (neutral, carburizing, oxidizing).
- Trace complex cutting paths using manual or machine-guided torches.
- Pre-heat thick sections to prevent metallurgical cracking before welding.
- Safely handle and store gas cylinders in compliance with workshop safety protocols.
