Key Responsibilities:
- Operate engine lathes to turn, face, and thread metal components to precise diameters.
- Operate cylindrical or surface grinding machines to achieve fine surface finishes and tight tolerances.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, grinding wheels, speeds, and feeds.
- Measure finished components using verniers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Interpret machinist blueprints and ensure components meet specified hardness/roughness.
