Accountabilities

  • Providing support in terms of research and technical expertise required in the development and implementation of new frameworks and policies.
  • Providing support in terms of communication and system capability for the implementation of new remuneration initiatives.
  • Developing annual timetables in line with key target dates required for the completion of the annual remuneration processes.
  • Optimize the annual Remuneration processes & procedures currently in place within BU e.g., systems, templates and models to support salary surveys, wage mandates, salary increases, bonuses and budgeting cycle.
  • Document process and procedures relating to the annual remuneration processes.
  • Optimizing current systems and processes in terms of time, quality and to have repeatable and predicted outcomes.
  • Co-ordinate HR information required for the compilation of the reporting in BU E.G. Annual Sustainability Report.
  • Contributing to the effective co-ordination of expertise and experience both within and across team boundaries to achieve corporate requirements in terms of the execution of the Annual HR process.

  • Specialist Technical Advice & Support
    • Provide specialist advice and support through collateral and cross functional approaches on the execution of planned objectives in respect of on-going application of Remuneration and benefits processes and procedures with a view of optimising the processes.
    • Monitor and audit the accuracy and effective processes in place for salary reviews and payroll run and make 
      recommendations for improvement

 

  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Within area of accountability always ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislated regulations, policies, work standards, governance requirements and professionalism with regards to industry competency requirements.
    • Contribute to the identification of risks within area of accountability and recommend possible mitigating interventions

 

  • Reporting/Monitoring
    • Provide direct output & support to the Regional Manager – Performance & Rewards in monitoring the effectiveness of the annual HR processes and procedures currently in place for salary reviews, short and long-term incentives and make improvements suggestions e.g., integrity of data, policy, processes, HR information systems etc.

 

  • Global Benchmarking
    • Provide specialist support in conducting region/site specific market benchmarking
    • Assist in the strategy of putting systems in place to ensure retention management within the Business Unit
    • Assist in role groups and levelling evaluations within the Business Uni

 

 

About You

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics or equivalent.
  • Certified REM Professional (Accredited with GRP)

 

Experiences

  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a Remuneration and Benefit environment
  • 5 years generalist HR experience with a proven track record of working with line managers
  • 2 years of payroll experience
  • SAP/SuccessFactors experience will be an advantage
  • Excellent level of analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet modelling capability
  • Experience in an expatriate environment, including experience in various international tax and benefits regimes, would be advantageous although not a current requirement of the role.
