Role Summary
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist with basic food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure the smooth operation of daily kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Assist Chefs and Cooks during meal preparation and plating.
- Receive and store food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock.
- Properly dispose of waste and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- No formal culinary degree required; previous experience in a kitchen is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
