ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Medical Sales Representative to promote our pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals across hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and diagnostic centers. You'll be the face of the company in the field, building trusted relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and procurement officers while driving product uptake and market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Territory Management

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned territory and product portfolio.
  • Develop and execute territory plans to identify high-potential doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies; provide market intelligence to management.

Healthcare Professional Engagement

  • Conduct scientific detailing visits with doctors, pharmacists, and other HCPs using approved materials.
  • Organize and support CMEs, product launches, and small group meetings to educate HCPs on product benefits, indications, and safety profile.
  • Handle HCP inquiries professionally and escalate technical queries to Medical Affairs when needed.

Customer & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital pharmacists, and procurement officers.
  • Support listing of products in hospital formularies and pharmacy shelves.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on orders, stock availability, and customer complaints.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Operate within PharmaCode, FDA Ghana, and company code of conduct for ethical promotion.
  • Maintain accurate call reports, customer records, and expense reports in CRM.
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales reports, market feedback, and forecasting inputs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related health field. Marketing/business background considered with pharma experience.
  • 1-3 years in pharmaceutical sales, OTC sales, or medical device sales preferred. Fresh graduates with strong communication skills considered for entry-level roles.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within territory.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of disease areas, pharmacology basics, and product positioning.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools. Experience with Salesforce, Zoho, or similar is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ghana's healthcare system and regulatory environment.
