About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and organized professional to oversee Point-of-Sale (POS) device inventory, distribution, and logistics operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient device allocation, secure transportation, effective vendor management, and accurate asset record-keeping to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory and Deployment
• Manage POS device inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
• Forecast device demand and allocate equipment according to approved commercial priorities.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure the timely availability of devices for deployment.
• Coordinate device distribution to support business and operational requirements.
2. Logistics and Fleet Management
• Coordinate the secure transportation and delivery of POS devices.
• Monitor device utilisation, faults, and replacement cycles.
• Ensure timely delivery, collection, and replacement of devices where necessary.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and distribution processes.
3. Vendor and Records Management
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain accurate records of device distribution, inventory movements, and asset allocation.
• Prepare distribution and inventory reports for management review and audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with established asset management and operational procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or distribution.
• Experience managing POS devices is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the payments, fintech, or telecommunications industry is preferred.
• Strong inventory control, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Good vendor management and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
