Job Description
Eat by Zoë is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stores Officer to manage inventory and oversee daily store operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving goods, maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the proper storage and distribution of items to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive and verify incoming goods and ensure proper documentation, including delivery notes and invoices.
• Record and update stock levels accurately in the store or warehouse system.
• Organise and store goods properly, ensuring items are safely stored, labelled, and easy to locate.
• Issue items to departments as requested and maintain accurate stock records.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method.
• Report low stock levels and shortages to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
• Degree or higher qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory management role, preferably in the food or hospitality industry.
Requirements
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
