Job Overview
Growth and development of business in defined sales area through effective management of
customer accounts and the achievement of field sales objectives.
Job Summary:
• Creating, implementing, and managing promotions designed to drive sales growth.
• Developing, executing promotional plans within specific channels (e.g., retail, wholesale,
distributors) to improve performance.
• Driving brand visibility at the point of sale (POS) through in-store campaigns, display
materials, merchandising, and product launches.
• Set and monitor the achievement of monthly sales target of sales team i.e. supervisors and
promoters
• Recruit, manage and grow customer accounts in sales
• Ensure assigned Customers comply with Trading Terms and Policies
• Ensure implementation of field sales management best practices in the assigned area
• Ensure effective demarcation of sales territories for effective coverage
• Ensure development of DP’s capacity to service all retail outlets in defined sales area
• Communication of important information from the company to the Trade and vice versa
• Ensure effective supervision of all members of sales team in sales area
• Follow-up individual training requirements with on-the-job training
• Continuously evaluate performance of all Distributor’s Salesmen and make necessary
recommendations to improve their performance
• Monitor and report Competitor Activities in sales area
• Conduct & update the territory census of all retail outlets
• Supervise/monitor all promotional activities in sales area
Required Skills & Experience:
• First Degree in Marketing, Arts or Business Management
• Minimum of 3- 5 years post qualification experience
• Sound knowledge of Sales principles and best practices
• Professional Qualification in Marketing
• Membership of a Professional marketing body
• Computer expertise especially in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Salary Package:
• Monthly salary range of Gh¢ 12,500 – 18,000 based on qualifications and experience.
