Job Summary:
A Sales Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying potential clients, promoting products or services, and closing sales deals. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills, along with a proactive approach to meeting sales targets and expanding market reach.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to close deals effectively.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
- Reporting: Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and expense documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless client experience.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration orrelated field (HND/Diploma acceptable with strong experience).
* 2-3 years proven experience in sales or business development (preferably in IT, SaaS, telecoms, or digital products).
Preferred Attributes:
- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and sales strategies
- Certification in sales or marketing (e.g., Certified Sales Professional)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
