LabMart Limited provides laboratory and scientific solutions in Ghana. As we expand our analytical-instruments portfolio, we are seeking a technically capable sales professional who can translate laboratory needs into practical, commercially sound solutions.

Role Summary

The Technical Sales Executive will develop opportunities for analytical instruments, consumables, and accessories; advise customers on analytical workflows; deliver product and application presentations; and coordinate technical and commercial support from opportunity identification through after-sales follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and manage existing accounts across academia, pharmaceuticals, industry, healthcare, government, and research institutions.
  • Assess customer workflows and recommend suitable analytical instruments, consumables, accessories, standards, reagents, and service options.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, application discussions, and customer training within the role’s competence.
  • Prepare technically accurate quotations, proposals, specifications, and tender responses in collaboration with internal and supplier teams.
  • Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline, prospecting plan, account records, forecasts, and follow-up schedule.
  • Achieve agreed revenue, margin, pipeline, and account-development targets.
  • Provide first-line application and troubleshooting support and coordinate advanced installation, maintenance, or repair with trained and authorized personnel.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on product configuration, pricing, availability, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, applications, competitor offerings, and market requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events as required.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with at least one of the following platforms and be able to explain the applications they have supported:

  • High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
  • Gas chromatography (GC).
  • Spectroscopy, including UV-Vis or FTIR.
  • Elemental analysis or X-ray fluorescence (XRF).
  • Associated columns, consumables, standards, reagents, and accessories.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, applied science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable hands-on laboratory experience with at least one relevant analytical platform.
  • Ability to understand analytical workflows and provide safe, accurate first-line technical and application guidance.
  • Strong presentation, written communication, customer-engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial judgment, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in scientific sales, applications support, laboratory operations, or instrument service.
  • Experience preparing tenders, proposals, forecasts, and account plans.
  • Experience with CRM systems and manufacturer or distributor training on relevant platforms.

Measures of Success

  • Achievement of agreed revenue, margin, pipeline, and account-development targets.
  • Technically appropriate recommendations, accurate proposals, and effective demonstrations.
  • Timely follow-up, reliable forecasts, complete CRM records, and strong customer satisfaction.
  • Effective coordination of delivery, installation, training, and after-sales support.
