Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Trailer Driver to transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment to and from our manufacturing plant. The driver will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy-duty trailers and ensuring timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers to transport cargo to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload goods securely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and Ghana Highway Code.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Report any mechanical faults or accidents to the transport supervisor immediately.
- Ensure all cargo is secured and properly documented before departure.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SHS certificate (SHS Graduate).
- Valid Ghana Card (mandatory).
- Valid Driver’s License with appropriate heavy-duty class (Class C or E).
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven trailer driving experience.
- Defensive driving skills and a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions.
- Must reside in or around Tema (Comm 25 area).
