About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Warehouse Assistant to manage our inventory and logistics operations. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy of stock records, optimizing warehouse processes, and maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our distribution network. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and experience with inventory/ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing discrepancies.
- Goods Receipt & Dispatch: Oversee the receiving, inspection, and storage of incoming goods, as well as the accurate picking and dispatch of outgoing orders.
- Data Entry & Reconciliation: Maintain precise records of all inventory transactions using Excel and inventory/ERP systems; perform regular stock reconciliation.
- Warehouse Organization: Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and adheres to safety standards.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory status, movement, and discrepancies for management review.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, such as stockouts, damages, or logistical delays.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory/ERP software.
- Excellent reconciliation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Attributes: Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
- Advantageous: Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or distribution.
