Job Summary:
ANP LIMITED is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Vulcanizer to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and retreading of tires used on company vehicles and equipment. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, longevity, and cost-effectiveness of our fleet and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tire Inspection: Inspect tires for damage, punctures, wear, and tear to determine repairability.
- Repair & Retreading: Perform vulcanization processes, including cutting, buffing, applying cushion gum, and curing tires using electric or steam heat to repair punctures and retread worn tires.
- Tire Fitting: Mount, balance, and rotate tires on vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs meet industry safety standards and company quality expectations.
- Maintenance: Maintain vulcanizing equipment, molds, and tools in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions to management.
- Inventory: Monitor and manage the inventory of tire repair materials, inner tubes, and spare tires.
- Safety: Adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Vulcanizer in a commercial or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of tire construction, repair techniques, and vulcanization processes.
- Ability to handle heavy tires (e.g., for trucks, tractors, or industrial machinery) safely.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of workshop safety standards.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
