Position Summary

The Filling Station Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of filling station operations, including staff supervision, fuel inventory management, customer service, sales performance, cash management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will ensure the station operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the filling station to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service.
• Oversee daily activities, ensuring efficient customer service and safe fuel handling procedures.
• Ensure the safe handling, storage, and dispensing of petroleum products in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, security, and operational efficiency throughout the station.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of station equipment and infrastructure.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor fuel stock levels, coordinate product deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Manage fuel inventory, stock levels, and deliveries.
• Ensure proper implementation of inventory control procedures to minimize losses.

Staff Supervision & Leadership

• Supervise, coach, and motivate station staff to achieve operational and customer service excellence.
• Supervise and train station staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with area management to recruit and train filling station staff.

Sales & Financial Management

• Monitor sales activities, cash handling, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee daily sales activities and cash management, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate operational, inventory, and financial records.
• Monitor station performance and implement strategies to improve sales, productivity, and profitability.
• Manage petty cash, revenue collection, and financial documentation in line with company policies.
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service.
• Implement effective customer service standards and resolve any operational issues.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company operational policies.
• Ensure all transactions comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service, and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Marketing, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of Second Class Lower division.

Experience

• Experience in retail operations, petroleum sales, or branch management will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.

• Knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and basic financial management.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Conflict resolution skills.

Other Requirements

• Applicants must be 26 years or older.
• Four (4) guarantors will be required as part of the employment process.
• Willingness to work in various locations nationwide.
