Job Summary:
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the floor operations during shifts, ensuring seamless service delivery, and supervising the front-of-house team. You will act as the bridge between the management and the staff, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional dining experience at our Bluewaters location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shift Management: Open and close the restaurant as per standard operating procedures. Manage floor flow, table reservations, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Team Supervision: Lead, brief, and supervise waiters, hosts, and runners during service. Ensure staff grooming, uniform, and presentation standards are met.
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and handle immediate guest concerns or complaints with professionalism to ensure positive reviews.
- Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage presentation, ensure tables are set correctly, and oversee the cleanliness of the dining area throughout the shift.
- Operational Support: Assist with inventory checks, monitor stock levels of cutlery, glassware, and linens, and report maintenance or equipment issues to management.
- Training & Coaching: Assist the Manager in training new staff members and providing on-the-job coaching to improve service standards.
- Communication: Relay guest feedback, operational issues, and staff matters to the Restaurant Manager promptly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory F&B role, preferably in a high-volume or upscale restaurant in the UAE.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Oracle, or similar) and reservation platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (Russian, Uzbek, or Arabic) are highly desirable.
