QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating HIAB cranes and heavy-duty vehicles
- Experience within construction, logistics, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, or warehouse operations
- Valid driver's license is appropriate for operating heavy goods vehicles
- Certified HIAB/Truck-Mounted Crane (Operator certification
- Valid lifting and rigging certification (preferred)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Vehicle Operation & Transportation
- Safely operate HIAB trucks and assigned vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and goods to customer and company locations. Ensure timely, efficient, and professional delivery services while complying with transport schedules and operational requirements
2. HIAB Crane Operations & Lifting Activities
- Operate truck-mounted HIAB cranes for loading, unloading, lifting, and positioning of materials and equipment. Execute lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans, load charts, and safe working limits
3. Load Handling & Site Coordination
- Secure loads using appropriate lifting equipment and coordinate effectively with riggers, banksmen, site personnel, and customers to ensure safe operations
4. Vehicle & Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
- Conduct routine pre-use and post-use inspections of vehicles and crane equipment
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and report defects while performing basic maintenance checks as required
5. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with road traffic regulations, HSSE requirements, company policies, and industry safety standards
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately complete delivery notes, vehicle logbooks, transport documentation, and operational records. Promptly report accidents, incidents, equipment defects, delays, and other operational issues to management
