Job Summary
We are seeking a physically fit and reliable Warehouse Loader to join our Warehouse Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of spare parts and automotive components within the warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring the warehouse environment remains organized and hazard-free.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from trucks, shipping containers, and storage bays with care and precision.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing spare parts are handled efficiently to meet dispatch and receiving schedules.
- Verify that the correct quantity and type of goods are being moved as per the delivery or requisition documents.
- Stack products safely and systematically to prevent breakage, damage, or deterioration of spare parts and automotive components.
- Organize goods on shelves, pallets, and storage racks according to warehouse layout and inventory classification.
- Use proper lifting techniques and handling methods to protect both the products and personal safety.
- Move materials around the warehouse floor using basic tools and equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and carts.
- Assist in transporting parts between different sections of the warehouse and to the dispatch area when required.
- Keep work areas clean and clear of hazards at all times.
- Sweep floors, remove debris, and ensure walkways and emergency exits remain unobstructed.
- Immediately report any spills, damaged goods, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff and storekeepers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock-taking activities as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow all warehouse procedures and instructions provided by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of JHS/SHS education.
- Past experience in a warehouse, factory, or similar logistics environment is helpful but not mandatory. On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical & Personal Attributes
- Physical fitness – ability to lift heavy loads, bend, stretch, and stand for long hours.
- Teamwork skills – ability to work quickly and cooperatively with other warehouse staff to meet deadlines.
- Safety compliance – willingness to wear protective gear (gloves, safety boots, etc.) and strictly follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail to avoid errors in handling and stacking.
- Punctual, reliable, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
Other Requirements
- Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Tema.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak inventory periods or urgent dispatch requirements.
