About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Production Engineer to join our electronic manufacturing unit in Kachigam, Daman. This is a fantastic opportunity for fresh graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards across the assembly line.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution:
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet output targets while minimizing downtime.
- Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of production equipment and machinery.
Process Optimization:
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production line and recommend improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) trials and process validation.
Quality Coordination:
- Work closely with the QC team to ensure that products meet defined quality standards at every stage.
- Assist in troubleshooting production-related quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and downtime records.
- Prepare daily/weekly production reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintenance Support:
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule routine equipment checks and minimize breakdowns.
- Report machinery issues promptly and assist in root cause analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Any Graduate (B.Sc, B.Com, BA, BBA, or Diploma in any discipline). Candidates with a technical diploma/background will have an added advantage.
- Experience: Fresher to 2 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or assembly role (experience in an electronics or engineering environment is a plus).
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computer applications (MS Office – Excel, Word). Familiarity with ERP systems or production software is a plus.
