Job Purpose
To provide site-based engineering support, ensuring the accurate setting out and surveying of construction works, and supporting the successful delivery of projects in accordance with design plans and specifications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out duties for structural, civil, and infrastructure works, including foundations, roads, and drainage.
- Establish and maintain site control points, benchmarks, and survey data.
- Use GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments for accurate levelling and measurement.
- Verify drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy.
- Manage quality assurance (QA) records and as-built information.
- Act as a key technical interface between the delivery team, subcontractors, and design partners.
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction activities across assigned work packages.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional registration with the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or Setting-Out Engineer on construction projects.
Core Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and engineering principles.
- High precision and attention to detail in surveying and setting out.
- Proficiency in using GPS, total stations, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
