About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Executive to join our plastic manufacturing unit in Silvassa. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the Plastic Injection Moulding Industry and will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods meet stringent quality standards. This role requires a strong technical understanding of plastics processing and the ability to implement robust quality control systems.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of plastic molded components as per approved specifications and drawings.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality and identify deviations in real-time.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify dimensional accuracy.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze defects (e.g., sink marks, flash, warpage, short molding) and collaborate with the production team to identify root causes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to reduce rejection rates and improve yield.
  • Participate in new product development trials and first-article inspections (FAI).

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality management systems and customer-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for quality checks.

Supplier & Customer Coordination:

  • Coordinate with suppliers for raw material quality issues and conduct vendor audits if required.
  • Address customer complaints regarding quality and provide timely resolution with 8D reports.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: CIPET / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / PGT-PPT (Plastics Processing Technology) – mandatory.
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years of proven experience in a quality role within the Plastic Injection Moulding Industrynon-negotiable.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of plastic materials (ABS, PP, Nylon, etc.), molding parameters, and defect analysis.
  • Tools: Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a zero-defect mindset.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a shift-based environment if required.
