1. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations at our Somnath, Daman facility. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in sourcing raw materials, machinery parts, and consumables specifically for the Plastic Moulding industry. You will be responsible for vendor development, cost optimization, inventory management, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Procurement & Sourcing:
- Managing end-to-end procurement of raw materials (polymer/resins/granules), moulds, tools, spare parts, and packaging materials.
- Identifying, evaluating, and developing reliable vendors/suppliers both locally and internationally.
- Negotiating pricing, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost savings targets.
- Inventory & Supply Chain:
- Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent production downtime.
- Coordinating with the production and stores departments for material requirement planning (MRP).
- Vendor Management:
- Conducting regular vendor performance reviews (quality, delivery, cost).
- Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and resolving any supply chain issues.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Preparing purchase orders, contracts, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
- Handling import/export documentation if applicable.
- Cost Control:
- Analyzing market trends and price fluctuations to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Preparing and managing the annual procurement budget.
3. Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: BBA / MBA / B.Com / Diploma in Materials Management or equivalent.
- Experience: 9 to 11 years of relevant procurement experience, with a significant portion in the manufacturing sector.
- Mandatory Requirement:
- Must have prior experience in the Plastic Moulding Industry (candidates without this background will not be considered).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of plastic raw materials, moulding machinery, and consumables.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Gender: Male candidates are preferred for this role (as per client requirement).
- Age: Preferably below 45 years (relaxable for highly experienced candidates).
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: ₹11–12 LPA (Negotiable based on interview performance and track record).
