About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organized Warehouse / Dispatch Assistant to join our team in Daman. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of daily warehouse activities, including the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of managing physical tasks while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against delivery challans/purchase orders.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods in designated locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Dispatch & Packing:
- Coordinate with the dispatch team to pick, pack, and label products for delivery.
- Prepare shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and waybills.
- Ensure that goods are dispatched correctly as per the sales orders and within stipulated timelines.
- Coordinate with transportation vendors for timely pickup and delivery.
Documentation & Coordination:
- Maintain accurate records of inward and outward materials.
- Update inventory management systems (Excel/ERP) with daily transactions.
- Coordinate with other departments (Sales, Logistics) to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Minimum 12th Pass (HSC). Any Graduate (BA, B.Com, B.Sc) is preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or dispatch role.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Computer (MS Office) and familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
- Language: Ability to read and understand basic English/Hindi/Gujarati for product labels and documentation.
