Can you investigate a stock discrepancy, explain a negative inventory balance and ensure purchase entries and product costs are accurate?
We're looking for a proactive Inventory & Accounts Officer with a strong accounting foundation to support our Finance team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Stock reconciliation and coordination of physical stock counts
* Investigation of negative balances and incorrect inventory entries
* Stock valuation and product costing
* Purchase invoice booking and maintenance of purchase records
* Supplier payment tracking and preparation of bank correspondence
* Follow-up with warehouse, procurement and departmental teams to resolve discrepancies
What we're looking for:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
* At least 3 years' relevant experience in inventory or purchase accounting
* Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP systems
* A practical, analytical approach and the initiative to follow issues through to resolution
* Experience in trading, distribution or equipment supply would be an advantage.
