Job Summary:
The Lab Engineer is responsible for the technical management, maintenance, and operation of specialized laboratory equipment and facilities within the university.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to faculty, researchers, and students on the use of lab equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory. Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Inventory Management: Manage laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
- Procurement: Assist in the procurement of new equipment and supplies, including preparing technical specifications.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, or a relevant field) from an HEC-recognized university.
- Practical experience in a laboratory environment (typically 2-5 years).
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
