JOB PURPOSE
To drive revenue growth through proactive sales strategies, client acquisition, account management, and market expansion across room sales, conference and banqueting business, corporate partnerships, group bookings, and leisure packages.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the hotel’s sales strategy in line with business and revenue objectives
- Drive sales across room bookings, conferences, banqueting, events, family packages, staycations, and corporate business
- Identify and secure new clients including corporate organizations, travel agents, event planners, wedding planners, tour operators, government institutions, NGOs, religious groups, and schools
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure achievement of revenue goals
- Build business pipelines and maintain strong conversion rates from leads to confirmed business
- Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Conduct regular client visits, courtesy calls, and follow-ups to maintain strong relationships
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally to protect brand reputation
- Conduct site inspections and hotel presentations for prospective clients
- Negotiate rates, packages, and contractual agreements within approved pricing frameworks
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer preferences, and pricing movements
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and threats
- Recommend pricing, packaging, and sales initiatives based on market intelligence
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports showing pipeline status, conversions, and revenue contribution
- Maintain accurate client databases, lead records, and account activity reports
- Forecast sales performance and provide realistic projections for occupancy and event
