About the Role

The Senior Project Manager (Quantity Surveyor) will be responsible for overseeing the complete project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting through execution and final delivery. The successful candidate will provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, manage project costs and contracts, and ensure that all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee procurement processes, contract administration, and cost control measures.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, financial reports, and performance updates to clients and management.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure effective communication throughout project implementation.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to project teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive project delivery efficiency.


Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership with a recognized professional body.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, including significant project management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Quantity surveying principles
    • Cost management and cost control
    • Procurement and tendering processes
    • Contract administration and construction contracts
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
