Job Description
A Rocha Ghana is seeking a dedicated Collaborative Resource Management Officer to support sustainable natural resource management and community-based conservation initiatives. The successful candidate will work with local communities, stakeholders, and relevant institutions to promote responsible resource use, strengthen community participation, and support the protection of natural ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of collaborative natural resource management initiatives.
• Engage local communities in conservation planning and decision-making.
• Facilitate collaboration between communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Promote sustainable natural resource utilization and environmental protection.
• Support community education and awareness campaigns on conservation.
• Monitor project activities and assist with data collection and reporting.
• Help identify challenges affecting natural resource management and recommend practical solutions.
• Contribute to project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Forestry, Wildlife Management, Development Studies, or a related discipline.
• Experience in community engagement, environmental conservation, or natural resource management is an advantage.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Knowledge of community-based conservation approaches.
• Good report-writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work with local communities and participate in field activities.
