Job Description
Fabrico Builders is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Strategic Business Development & Projects Manager to identify growth opportunities, evaluate business proposals, and coordinate strategic initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will turn strategic discussions into viable business opportunities by assessing market potential, developing business cases, evaluating risks, and ensuring that approved projects are delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities arising from meetings and discussions with the Executive Director.
* Assess market potential, commercial viability, business risks, and strategic alignment.
* Develop detailed business cases supported by financial analysis and realistic projections.
* Prepare strategic recommendations to guide management decision-making.
* Coordinate with relevant group companies and departments to facilitate project implementation.
* Monitor approved initiatives and track progress against agreed objectives.
* Evaluate project performance, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
* Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and relevant business stakeholders.
* Handle sensitive business information confidentially and comply with non-disclosure requirements.
* Provide regular updates on business development activities, project progress, and strategic outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications
* BSc in Civil Engineering or Architecture, together with a master’s degree in business or Strategy, as stated in the recruitment poster.
* Between 8 and 15 years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting, investment, or a related field.
* Strong commercial awareness and strategic planning skills.
* Experience preparing business cases, conducting market assessments, and evaluating investment opportunities.
* Excellent financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Confidence in engaging with senior executives and other key stakeholders.
* Strong project coordination and performance-monitoring skills.
* High integrity, discretion, and willingness to comply with non-disclosure agreement (NDA) requirements.
