Job Description
An electric vehicle company in Ghana is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead its people management function and support organisational growth. The successful candidate will develop HR policies, oversee recruitment and talent management, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure the company attracts, develops, and retains qualified employees.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- * Lead recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning.
- * Develop employee performance management and talent development programmes.
- * Oversee compensation, benefits, employee relations, and staff welfare.
- * Ensure compliance with Ghana’s labour laws and relevant employment regulations.
- * Develop HR policies and procedures that promote fairness and organisational effectiveness.
- * Advise management on employee matters, organisational development, and workforce planning.
- * Promote a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- * A relevant professional HR qualification or postgraduate degree is an advantage.
- * Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a leadership role.
- * Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and HR policies.
- * Good understanding of Ghana’s labour laws and employment practices.
- * Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- * Ability to align HR strategies with business growth and organisational objectives.
- * Experience in the automotive, energy, technology, or start-up industry is an advantage.
