QUALIFICATION, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of Intermediate MVT/MET/EET
- Minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in heavy duty earthmoving mining and construction machinery
- Must have Ghanaian driver's license B/E
- Must have deep troubleshooting skill in engines, hydraulic, powertrain, steering and brakes
- Line boring experience will be an advantage
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Component Repair, Assembly & Maintenance
- Perform component repairs, machine assembly, POW, scheduled maintenance, and minor machine repairs in line with manufacturer and company standards
- Remove, install, assemble, and disassemble machine components using approved procedures and service manuals
2. Diagnostics & Technical Troubleshooting
- Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and basic troubleshooting using specialized diagnostic tools
- Assess component conditions and prepare parts quotations using relevant systems and technical resources
3. Quality Assurance & Contamination Control
- Maintain proper cleaning, labeling, storage, and contamination control of components, parts, and work areas throughout the repair process. Ensure all repairs and assemblies meet quality standards
4. Safety, Tools & Asset Management
- Maintain a safe working environment and promote safety awareness
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record labor hours, service activities, inspections, and repairs
- Prepare and submit service reports, SIMS reports, and other required documentation within established timelines
6. Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support team operations by reporting issues, escalating unusual events, and safeguarding parts and materials. Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to newly appointed graduates and junior team members
