About the Role
Newmont is looking for a proactive and reliable Mine Maintenance Service Person to support our maintenance operations. This entry-to-mid level role is crucial for ensuring the workshop and maintenance areas remain operational, clean, and safe, while providing vital support to our technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics and technicians with basic maintenance tasks, repairs, and component replacements.
- Perform routine servicing tasks, including lubrication, fueling, and fluid checks.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workshop, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Transport tools, parts, and materials to and from work sites as directed.
- Assist in conducting daily safety inspections of the work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or Vocational/Technical training in a mechanical field is preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding mining environment.
- Previous experience in a workshop or industrial setting is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
