Job Summary:
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, including conveyors, crushers, fans, and hydraulic systems, to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance: Perform routine servicing and breakdown repairs on mechanical plant equipment.
- Fitting: Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble machinery components (bearings, gears, shafts).
- Hydraulics/Pneumatics: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Fabrication: Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as required.
- Safety: Ensure guarding is in place and machinery is isolated before working on it.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade Test Certificate (Fitter & Turner / Fitter).
- 3+ years of experience in plant maintenance.
- Experience with conveyor belts, crushers, and pumps.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
